Kristen Soltis is the Director of Policy Research at The Winston Group and works with major non-profits, advocacy organizations and political campaigns to use opinion research to drive strategy. She provides political commentary on international television and radio (Ireland's RTE, BBC Radio) and is often quoted in major national and international news sources. Her writing has appeared in academic journals (American Politics Research) and in places such as POLITICO, The Huffington Post, the Orlando Sentinel, National Review Online and the Washington Examiner. Soltis is also a regular contributor here at Pollster.com as well as The Next Right and POLITICO Arena. She has also given talks at Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University, and Loyola College in Baltimore.
Soltis received her Master's degree summa cum laude from Johns Hopkins University and received "Best Thesis" honors for her work on young voters and the Republican Party. She is a proud Florida Gator and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Florida, receiving a Bachelor's degree in political science. She has completed the Women's Campaign School at Yale University, worked with Future Leaders for McCain on their education policy team, and has served as a judge for the Pollie Awards. Prior to her work at The Winston Group, Soltis' political experience included an internship at the National Republican Congressional Committee.
