Kristen Soltis is currently the Director of Policy Research for The Winston Group, a Washington DC public opinion research and strategic consulting firm. Soltis has done both survey and focus group research for political campaigns, major corporations, prominent think tanks and non-profits.
Soltis has been with The Winston Group since May 2005 and in that time has cultivated research interests in congressional politics, voter behavior, and education policy. Soltis is a graduate of the Women's Campaign School at Yale University. Prior to her time at the Winston Group, Soltis served as an intern at the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Currently, Soltis is pursuing her Master's degree in Government at Johns Hopkins University. She has been published in American Politics Research, and is a contributor to The Next Right and Doublethink Online. Additionally, Soltis serves as a survey research advisor to the America's Future Foundation, a networking organization for young conservative and libertarian professionals. Soltis is a monthly panelist on their "Inside Washington Weekly" podcast.
Hailing from the Sunshine State, Soltis is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in political science. Additionally, Soltis served as a research assistant for the Marion Brechner Citizens Access Project, a venture dedicated to evaluating and promoting governmental transparency and citizen access to information.
