Seriously, what is Rasmussen's deal with all of these idiotic and irrelevant polls?

If you look at the charts, Rasmussen polls races like this every month, probably just to see if something crazy is happening and a trend is developing one way or another.
As a highly successful and well thought of pollster, he has a good deal of money to be able to afford to do so, and it's not like robo polls of 500 voters are real expensive either.
