Rass is on a real Republican roll today.
I guess Arizona doesn't mind having someone as governor who has trouble stringing two sentences together as long as they're an immigrant basher. Like Joe McCarthy and George Wallace before her, Brewer demagogued and fear mongered an issue into political success.

Better than having someone in power where all they can do is be eloquent and has no leadership qualities, like a few past fascists. I also would vote for an immigrant basher, an illegal immigrant basher like the rest of the leaders of the developed world. Want to talk about fear mongering a political issue, did you catch Obama's Ohio speech? Pathetic. The same "last 8 years of policies" nonsense. You would think a man who could speak so well would hire some speechwriters who can come up with an original idea.

Clearly 60% of Arizona are racist xenophobes.

Weird one. Brewer certainly didn't win the debate.

Guess people care more about the steak rather than the sizzle.

You could probably grill a steak on Brewer's face... yeah I went there.

President Obama's speech today in Ohio was terrific. He's starting to move into campaign mode as we head into the elections.
Very substantiative.
Pointing out the FACT that Republican policies, both in the Executive and Legislative branches, created the mess that we're finally starting to come out makes perfect sense.
Republicans are good at winning elections, but they are absolutely terrible at running government. The more often that FACT is expressed, the better.
This President is serious about getting things done. If Republicans think he's just going to let them try to fool the American public into voting Republicans back into power, they have another thing coming.

I guess we should eliminate debates as they clearly discriminate against those who can neither think on their feet nor form coherent sentences on a semi-regular basis...that is..."sizzle" (as FM calls it...yeah right). We don't really need those sorts of folks in Government now, do we?
Sorry but as someone who's former job required him to be able to perform these two basic skills on a regular basis I can't imagine wanting to vote for someone who is unable to properly or intelligibly explain their conduct as Governor and their reasons for asking for my vote, and who does the proverbial "deer-in-the-headlights" during their opening (which should have been memorized even by a high school debater)
Even Sarah Palin never reached such depths as these, nor have I seen any other candidate for high office perform so badly. Refusing to engage in further debates is clearly the right choice for Brewer; but her reasons for debating at all...to get 1.7 Million in public funds, are more than a little strange.
As for the "steak" saying "we've done good for Arizona...we've done the right thing" a bunch of times doesn't amount to steak, nor does it sizzle; it more like cream of wheat.
By the way, it cuts both ways. I was less than impressed with McAdams in a recent interview; however, he's a small town mayor who was essentially drafted into the race and, as clunky as he was it was still an order of magnitude...or 10...higher than what Brewer did. Her debate performance was the very worst I've ever seen from a politician holding such a high office.

I live in Arizona. There are a lot of stupid people here that actually believe we have beheadings going on in the state. I only live here for the weather.

cmbat.
How could those Zonies be so stupid. Its not like there are car bombings and beheadings just across the border and its not like stray bullets from the drug war in Mexico are hitting buildings in the US. DOPES. Next thing is they will want Obambam to protect the border or something.

"Its not like there are car bombings and beheadings just across the border and its not like stray bullets from the drug war in Mexico are hitting buildings in the US."
Obama is not the president of Mexico. Juarez and downtown El Paso are a few hundred yards apart, and El Paso is at a higher elevation than Juarez. If rifles are being fired on the Mexico side, of course it's possble stray bullets could hit buildings on the U.S. side. Unless we build a bulletproof wall 100 feet high there's not really a way to stop it.
It's U.S. drug addictions that drive the violence anyway.

FM it's 62% because the people who can't decide MUST be racists too to not see such a clear choice. LOL too funny
It's a FACT that Obama's speech will probably add another 2-4 pts on Portman and Kasich's polls.
It's a FACT that the failed policies of the current administration is the reason they're doing so poorly which will continue.

I guess if you put FACT in bold lettering it makes it true.

No, what makes it true is that...wait for it...it is true.
FACT was simply my way of emphasizing the truth.
Other ways to emphasize something on the Internet include:
Bold lettering, Italicizing, Bold lettering and Italicizing + CAPS with those elements.

My bad FM, I thought you were replying to me.
I suppose my reply should be directed to MikeyA who amusingly, used the word FACT to express an Opinion. lol
Posted on September 9, 2010 12:48 PM
Actually, my reply was directed at both of you.
I should have read the entire thread, not just the bottom reply.
