Poll Troll:

Sadly plagiarism doesn't turn voters off, especially this case where numerous sections were referenced without explicitly citing the source and author. I think he'd be screwed if they uncovered college papers which were word-for-word copies (i.e. NO scholastic integrity). Pols survive much more tangible scandals that people with median education can relate too (e.g. infidelity, whoremongering, drugs, campaign donations, gifts, etc.)

I just don't see a blue color worker giving a damn and that's if they even understand the gravity of academic dishonesty.

Agreed PT. People in Mass. don't seem to care about Blumenthal lying about his military background, same with Kirk in Ill. In the scheme of political issues to have, this one is fairly mute. But, given the primary has not occurred yet, i think it will affect him more than if it had post-primary. I think Reps will simply turn to other Reps whereas if this was during the general campaign, they wouldn't have anyone else to turn to and most would likely overlook the incident.

That is truly terrifying that Colorado Republican voters would want Tom Tancredo who is truly scary. Connecting Obama to being a huge threat to national security and comparing it to terrorism. This shows where are country is going, and hopefully the extreme right will shoot themselves in the foot and their attempts to nominate bigots, hate mongers and creeps like this will backfire

Apparently McInnis and Maes are the only two candidates in the primary. Since McInnis is hated so much by GOP party leaders in Colorado its looks like Maes will eat up all the anti-McInnis voters and go on to win the primary.

I agree with your assessment jmartin.

farleft, yes, tancredo is a HUGE hate monger. I mean, he has the nerve to want to secure our borders and deport people who break the law. Where is this country headed?????

Perhaps getting Norton to swith to the Gov's race will salvage this. She'd have to run as an independant though.

Yeah, if Norton is allowed to switch to governor's race instead CCR, we can do one of two options; I have no problem with it, if we can take Rory Reid off the ballot in Nevada or if maybe Alvin Greene can be taken off the ballot in SC, and perhaps that guy who lost in the primary, or perhaps the moderate GOP rep in the house who got tea bagged can switch to a conservative Democrat.
