Field Marshal:

Wow, is Delaware turning red? LOL. If Obama can't get a liberalish state like Delaware on board with his crappy health care reform, than what hope does he have with battleground or even red states?

It's that while Delaware is still pretty blue and overall generally likes Obama, they simply don't like what's going through Congress in terms of health care reform. It's a massive albatross for the Dems right now; it's getting hammered from the right and picked apart by the left. Independents want more focus on the economy but leaving HCR where it is would show an inability to govern. What an absolutely awful decision it was to push this thing forward the way it was back in the summer. Atrocious political decision from a few folks who are allegedly a political masterminds (Obama, Emmanuel).

Castle leading Biden is not a big surprise, nor is the fact that he has better favorability ratings. But Field Marshal, I'd really hesitate to say Delaware is "turning red." Castle is far from conservative and I think most people know he'd only serve until 2014 and then the state would be free to continue the Biden dynasty there.

Above should have said "It's evident that", my bad.

Beau Biden hasn't even announced he's running yet which seems pretty strategic in a state with huge advertising costs. And yeah I've seen Castle in an interview, if you wanna talk about RINO's... ;p

Fieldmarhsall, are you aware that Deleware has ONE Congressman and his name is Castle? So, Castle is their best candidate. I would like to see if Republicans are going to support him. By the way, the last PPP poll had Castle up by 8. This will be a close one.

Biden's problem is that he is a Biden.........!

Even in DE this HCR cannot get majoirty support. The Dems are now in a die if we do die if we don't position. Fascinating how they have cornered themselves like this.

If they don't pass HCR then the nutty left wing won't go out and vote for them...if they do pass it then GOP and Indy's will turn out agains thtem in large numbers.

Catch 22 for our Democratic freinds.

How can you get support when you aren't running for senate lol? Does anyone not get that Beau Biden has not issued a statement or anything saying he's even running?

Biden problem is that he's a Biden? LOL You really think Joe Biden would've lost to Castle if he was running? I doubt Castle even try to run. Republicans have pushed Castle to run for Senate for years. He knows betters. Nice try there, Stillow.

Biden is out making a fool of himself every day now that he is VP...I'll make a bet with you that in 2012 Biden is not o nthe ticket with Obama.......he makes Dan Quayle look like a genius and Al gore look sane.

Sorry, NO ONE CAN'T BEAT DAN QUAYLE IN STUPIDITY. I was a kid and knew Quayle was stupid. That's how much of a disaster he was. But, Bush would've won in 1992 if Clinton didn't run.

Bush would have won if Perot didn't run....and when Biden isn't out doing his racial slurs, he is just being stupid...he wont be o nthe ticket again. He's a bafoon.

Joe Biden is a bit of a dork but he's no idiot like Dan Quayle. Refreshing though not to have a menovolently evil VP.

No, Delaware isn't turning red. Castle is a long-term moderate represenative, similar in views to Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe. If the GOP has a chance at winning senate seats in NH, De, and CT however, they will have to distance themselves from the past and asking Sarah Palin, fred Thompson, Dick Armey or Dick Cheney to come visit and campaign for them will be a huge disaster. Biden's son is not that well known however, and it will be tough for the GOP to win. If health reform is passed, this would be especially true.

Joe Biden is a guy who speaks his mind. Popularity isn't what he is concerned about. He has had his doubts about Afghanistan which may be one of Obama's mistakes now with 32 percent of Americans encouraging troop increase. On a previous discussion we talked about ballot initiatives in certain states. What if both parties agreed to have a 50 state electoral college ballot initiative to not send more troops. I would be all for that!

I give you ugys credit for sticking by Biden....from racial slurs to outlandish success claims.......

Farleftandproud:

The GOP Candidate for Deleware needs to invite Sarah Palin to speak to a group of women for the day on foreign policy and seeing Russia from her house, and she can explain how she would use the book of Revelation as her blue print for foreign policy experience. All the men can go on a day long hunting trip where Dick Cheney can give them tips about marksmanshop. They can also invite Mike Huckabee a little closer to the election and discuss how to be tougher on crime and to pass tougher parole laws. This strategy will go over nicely in Delaware.

Farleftandproud:

If this strategy doesn't work however than invite Rudi Guilliani and Mitt Romney in, to explain that moderate Republicans can still win in the northeast. Than Romney when he runs for president in 2012 can once again say "I am the true conservative". Thats Grand ol logic for you!!!!!!
