CUWriter:

Rubio has finally caught Crist and is well on his way to passing him. He'll beat Meek by 10-12 points in the general. Bank it.

Rubio is a rising star in the party. He has a very bright future as long as HE doesn't screw it up. Look for the leftist press to start attacking him in order to prevent that threat from materializing.

Progressives have failed in Florida, if Sen. nelson is the best they can come up with. Grayson someday will run for governor, on a bad Republican year and win, just like Al Franken did.

If the strategy was to throw out the incumbents for governor, Florida should have a good chance to take back the state house. It has been a long time since they had a Democratic governor; I don't think the Democratic party is well organized down there.

So Rubio would beat Crist, but Crist polls better against Meeks. Interesting.

Florida needs and ultra conservative like Rubio to understand that Republican's in that state are going to keep it in complete meltdown and its own Fark Category.

Still sour ey X? Ya just can't figure out why these conservatives keep leading and then winning. It must be that annoying plurality of americans who call themselves conservatives actually starting to vote that way.

Florida politics are so screwed up. The state republicans have been in control for the past 15 years despite how screwed up the state is the people keep them. The drama of the 2000 election set the stage of this state's future to be a corrupt narco-trafficing state. When people figure out they don't want to go to Disney World I figure it'll just sink into the ocean.

Nice big sample here, but it's only a RV sample, not LV.

Advantage GOP and Rubio. A big one.

Rubio is up 9 points over a candidate (Meek) so unknown his approval ratings are 18/8, yet he's only at 44% against Meek's 35%. He'll almost certainly win in the general if he knocks off Crist unless.....Crist pulls a Lieberman. Ya never know. Doesn't look like the meek shall inherit much of anything in this country any time soon.

The other possibility is Crist pulling a Specter. Interestingly enough, if he did that he'd almost certainly win...as a Dem. He's quite popular with Dems, actually. I don't see how Meek beats him in the primary unless turnout is really tiny. Crist has so much money though...he can literally drive voters to the polls and send them home with a turkey. Filing deadline is 4.30.10 So...if Rubio starts to leave Crist in the dust things may get very interesting in FL.
