The numbers are backwards: it should be Obama 49, McCain 42. For a moment I was really confused by the lede in the link, "Independent Florida voters are on the verge of killing John McCain’s hopes for the presidency." Killing his hopes by electing him? But at this point, if McCain does win Florida he just might have a heart attack.

This is at least the second time today that you got a poll backwards. C'mon, you are not going to scoop anyone. The poll has already been released. Take an extra five minutes to proofread.

lol.

I can't even make a typo joke because they're getting so old.

Nice poll for Obama.

Will today's polls (this, plus Quinnipiac) put FL back to light blue?

deeznutsrepubs:

Yeah, what the hell?? What is wrong with you guys? How many times have you screwed up the numbers???

I guess I shouldn't make fun....someone is probably dyslexic, in which case they should be moved to another task or job.

Nice poll for Obama...that's what exposure will get you John McCain. Why McCain was wasting time in FL...Barack and Hillary were getting out the vote in FL. Just a snapshot though.

Registered Voters, still good for Obama

Boom isn't irrelevant, because everyone feels the need to taunt him in every poll. He's actually the most relevant person on here. He's a fool whose either delusional or enjoying pressing everyones buttons. Either way, ignore him. It's annoying watching every thread turn into a "who can pile on the moron?" contest.

What a great week for Obama! Now it even looks like GEORGIA is in reach?! Florida and North Carolina's Obama support just may seep into Georgia after all.

Landslide Baby Landslide!!

BlueAmerica:

This is looking very much like a repeat of 1992 for Bill Clinton. Florida is looking more blue then red this year.

Being dyslexic and being a poll taker/poster would be a bad mix.

There's still 1.8 points to go to turn FL light blue again. Another poll like this should do it.

Today, the monthly averages of Gallup Poll Daily shows that Jewish voters “now favor Obama over John McCain by more than 3 to 1, 74% to 22%.”

You Mccain would have done much better had he

1. selected Bobby Jindahl
2. Not made palin the attack dog. Her inexperience has made the press focus on her lack of qualificaiton. If she was just a cheerleader the repubs would have done much much better.....

I live in Tampa, went to early vote downtown and waited 30 minutes, which was a short wait, compared to 1 hour or more other people experience in the area. So far early voting stats are running 2-1 registered Dems.

@boskop;

Orlando Sentinel also endorsed Obama; a surprise because Orlando is pretty conservative.

I was surprised too on Sunday to pick up the Orlando Sentinel and read that they have endorsed Obama. Where I live (Seminole Co.) is very red, but I have seen numerous Obama stickers on cars, Obama yard signs and heard lots of people say they support Obama, so even though my county will probably stay red, I think Florida will be a darker shade of blue on Nov. 4!

FavreJet is a little off saying Orlando is conservative, but he must have something straight to be surprised by the endorsement.
