Could be an interesting one. The poll suggests that Barnes has a strong base of support; his 52% favourable rating contains 30% who are very favourable toward him. The Republican primary is a bit more closely contested than the Democratic primary, where Barnes should win easily. I think you'd probably peg the Republican nominee (most likely Oxendine, but Handel and Deal are in with a shot) as the favourite, but it's likely to remain competitive.

Obama's approval was almost as low in PA as in GA. I don't believe it; if it is true, that is a huge embarrasment for Obama.

Georgia's current Governor is Sonny Perdue, who defeated Barnes back in 2002. Perdue is limited to two terms.
