I can not imagine Supreme Court selections by Obama could possibly be liberal enough for me and I am a centerist. Obama is not a very liberal guy. I want a Supreme Court that recognizes Constitutional principles such as Habeus Corpus, Equality under the law (yes, gay marriage), bans torture and other very NON-controversial concepts. Replacing the three likely retiring liberals with more liberals only keeps the court misbalanced to the right. If the Catholic Fascist Scalia retires it would be our first chance to make a real change. Maybe then Thomas will join him since he wonn't have anyone to tell him what to do.
This poll is probably about right as far as it goes (turnout will decide the result, in other words).
But you do sometimes have to wonder about the spin Rasmussen puts on some of his results. Another poll just released found that 43% think Obama's supreme court picks will be just right, while 42% think they will be too liberal. But Ras's headline only says: "42% Say Obama’s Picks for the Supreme Court Will Be Too Liberal"...
