Actually, the country will be much better off, its his party that will be in big trouble.
At this point, the GOP can only hope O makes keeping this seat a prioririty and goes there to campaign. Everywhere O is going his guy loses......
The dem primary in this state is pretty heated and I expect any one of them to pull out ahead with Kirk's poor preformance in a solotary republican poll.
IL like NY has some extremely red sections, but all things considered I would rank the redest of the blue states as follows.
5. NH
4. PA
3. New Mexico
2. Wisconsin
1: Iowa
Blue States would be ones that have gone Democratic in at least 4 out of the last 5 elections.
If Obama couldn't hold his own senate seat, our country would really be in big trouble.
