IOWA: Strategic Vision

A new Strategic Vision (R) statewide survey among likely Republican and Democratic Iowa caucus goers finds:

  • Among Republicans, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani (at 25%) runs four points ahead of Sen. John McCain (21%). Former Speaker Newt Gingrich receives 13%.
  • Among Democrats, Sen. John Edwards (at 25%) runs ahead of Barack Obama (17%), former Gov. Tom Vilsack (16%), and Sen. Hillary Clinton (15%).
  • 77% of likely Republican caucus goers do not see Bush as "a conservative Republican in the mode of Ronald Reagan."

Comments

For the good of this country, I hope that this Iowa poll, which shows Edwards in the lead, is indeed correct. Edwards is the right candidate to unite our country and provide a better domestic and foreign policy agenda.
