Jindal has a super high approval here...good sign for him if he wants to make a run for higher office.

Landrieu might as well shift parties as she's probably more conservative than a few republicans.

I love Jindal. Cant wait for 2016 for him to run!

What are the term limits for governor in Louisiana?

Gopherguy:

It is sad that someone like Vitter could win re-election. Katrina really improved his bid.

Wow, imagine that - a Republican with high approval ratings in LA.

I love seeing David Vitter having approval ratings like this because it proves that the family values crowd is truly devoid of courage. If they truly voted their "values" they'd vote out the guy who used a hooker and loves playin with his own lincoln logs.

Louisiana is a lost cause. Some may think I am just a snotty arrogant guy from the northeast, but it is pretty strange that a state with a racist past where David Duke once came close to getting elected to office, as now having a Eastern Indian Governor. It is quite an accomplishment for Mr Jindal. I credit him today for being concerned for the justice of the peace who wouldn't marry a interacial couple on the grounds that society looks down upon interacial couples. As for Vitter he has not yet decried what this judge did. I think Vitter is the biggest hypocrite in the US Senate, next to Joe Liebermann of course. I can't see how the people of LA could tolerate a senator who spent time in Brothels like he did. In NY where I am from, Elliot Spitzer resigns immidiately. If Vitter is interviewed I hope all local newscasters will ask him about that part of his life. Bill Clinton is still being asked about MOnica, 11 years later when he is interviewed. Don't let Vitter get a free ride.

That's why I find it difficult to understand the US evangelicals. I'm an evangelical but grew up in Africa although my mom is white from Idaho, I was made to believe that we don't judge others; it's only GOD who judges, with Christ sitting at his right hand side. I would not like to judge others and also do not want anybody to judge me. I don't judge gay people although I don't believe in "gay marriage." I think what people do with their private lives is up to them; it's not my business. On daily basis, I fight for my salvation in fear and trembling. The US evangelical crowd especially those in the racist south have lost their way.

What is a values voter? Do not bto hrepubs and dems beleive in mairage? Being faithful? Doign the right thing? Isn't everyone a values voter?

Its only libs who stil lmake race an issue. Jindal has very high approval in LA and he is indian...based o nthe libeal theory, I guess the 33 who disapprove of jindal are just a bunch of liberal racists who hate indians right? Since I'm called racist all the time for disliking obama, its only fair that you guys are racist for not liking jindal....

LA has gone past its racist past, all the racist democrats from back then are all but gone now. In fact most of the racist democrats who domianted the south for decades are all but gone....famours dems like bull connor and wallace are in the past.

There's ideaho with his normal racist south crap again....ya those evil racists love jindal...........you libs turn into idiots on the race issue.

the racist south hates non whites, but oen of the most popular govenrors i nthe country is fro mthe south, he is brown and from oen of the most conservative states....ya libs, you really make sense......total idiots on this issue.

Having spent a little time below the Mason Dixon line, my feeling is that Lousiana has a different dynamic than the rest of the deep south. A little more Catholic based, less judgmental conservatism with an appreciation for "Laissez le bon temps roulez" attitudes that would not be acceptable in the southern Baptist bible belt. The Jindal phenamona will not translate well to the rest of the south.

But you gotta like the guy

Before everyone gets all jiggety with this poll, this poll was commissioned by some right wing businessman in LA. Just some guy off the street with lots of money. Why is he commissioning a poll like this? Who the heck knows! But, both the pollster and this dude are somewhat suspect--take with as many grains of salt as you wish!

Stillow:

Well to prove you racists wrong, how about some polls in other southern states on jindal. Despite what you racists libs think, we conservatives do not judge people based on race, but rather ideaology and peersonality....Jindal is a good conservative, he will appeal very strongly in the south and places like the midwest...not because what he looks like, but because what he beleives in.

its only you racist libs who view everything in terms of race.
