No surprise here. The coverage in the Louisiana papers is very different from the coverage in the national media (more facts, less commentary), and many Louisiana residents only need to look out their windows to see what's going on. After so many weeks, I doubt there's much the President can do to change these numbers.

I think the takeaway here is that Louisianans feel significantly different about offshore drilling than Floridians do. While Vitter seems to have come through this unscathed, will the same be true for pro-drilling Marco Rubio, who suddenly finds himself running in a decidedly anti-drilling state?
