This is not a good time to be a governor. Only a few of them have net positive approvals. So the saying goes, is the economy, stupid. I believe many of them will bounce back when the economy turns around. I also believe Baldacci is being clubbered for supporting the gay rights thing and putting his face on the ballot, which will certainly turn somebody like me who is democrat but don't support gay marriage. I can only support "civil union" like the one that passed in Washington state.

C'mon GOP Olympia Snowe does not meet the "purity" test so let's get someone to run against her in her next primary. The only problem is I hear there is a shortage of white sheets in Maine so we may have to wait a little while, but I'm sure Glen Beck will agree to let whichever candidate is chosen to oppose Snowe borrow his sheets until they are in better supply.
