HookedOnPolls:

Obama tied in approve/dis.

Does this mean there's too many racists in MN?

LOL

Good luck Tom Emmer, you're going to need it.

No, MN has a lot of moderates who are probably the types of people who like Obama, but don't think he has done enough, and are probably upset with the fact he isn't listening to them, on their disatisfaction with the war in Afghanistan.

Of course I am loyal to the president and under most circumstances like him unconditionally, but I think probably about 10 percent of the people who disaprove of him, question the fact he has probably not stood up enough to special interests.

Basic rule of thumb for any and every Star Tribune poll... Add 5 points to the Republican candidate for the true margin.

They have a horrendous Democratic polling bias.

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with Scott.

Also, these numbers are right in line with every other poll taken on this race.

DFL (the name under which Dem candidates run) means something in MN. There's a definite respect for working people that's reflected in the acronym.

For Emmer to go after waiters, who work their butts off for typically FAR FAR less than 100k...more like 40-50k, was a really bad unforced error because it insulted working people and displayed ignorance about their life. I used to own a restaurant... not a cheap one either; our waiters made $150 (most weekdays) to $300 (Fri Sat) per day, generally with tips. I don't know where Emmer got his figures from; maybe he dines at upscale establishments so much that he's convinced that all waiters make big bucks.

Scott:

Basic rule of thumb: Minnesota apparently has a Democratic VOTING bias, having voted that way in the last 9 Presidential Elections!

I want to see a poll from Michelle Bachman's district.

Scott, you couldn't be more wrong. This poll is in line with every other poll out there. The fact is simple, Tom Emmer is a bad candidate.

THere was a lot of uproar over Target and Best Buy giving money to his campaign. Human rights campaign has called for a boycott of both stores. I guess he has made several attempts to pass anti-gay legislation in the Minnesota state legislature. Plus, he supports a christian rock band that advocates violence and death to gay people. That's christian?
I would like to see his numbers after yesterday. They might drop. He doesn't seem like he is going to win anyway. How comes no approval/ disapproval for Pawlenty?
