Marshall is polling relatively well considering such low name recognition. Burr should be frightened considering he is well under 50%.

It would be nice to see a big surprise in the south next year to pick up a senate seat, to make up for possible losses in Delaware, PA or CT. Kentucky is another longshot for the democrats.

I think NC isn't in as big of an economic mess as the Rust belt like Ohio and Michigan, or states like PA, NJ and upstate NY. The Democrats may see the biggest drop in support in places that have lost a lot of jobs.
