Memo to Burr: Start acting like a conservative and stop hanging around Hagan, Graham, and Bayh.

Well women seem to be making more honest and more principled politicians of both parties these days. Perhaps NC, Maine, Michigan and Washington can all have one thing in common next year, Two female senators. I have to give it to the ladies in politics that as far as I know about in national politics they haven't had any known affairs or major corruption scandals; correct me if I am wrong but I don't hear about them cheating like Edwards, Ensign, Sanford, Spitzer, Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich.

Something else that was pretty telling recently was when the vote came up whether or not to look into young women who testified being raped by military contractors while serving abroad, 30 GOP senators voted to not investigate, but out of the 10 GOP senators who voted with the Democrats, Snowe, COllins Huchison and Lisa Murkowski had no choice but to vote with them.

Snowe, Collins and Murkowski are all more moderate than the remaining Repubs. Hutchinson marginally more moderate. Their all women; it's kind of hard for a woman to give a big FU to these rape victims and those who care about them.

This is not about rape for the 30 Repubs who voted against this amendment. This is about business and money and power and facilitating an industry that funnels them money. These contractors are hugely wealthy and powerful and have a lot of influence. What's a few gang rapes when you can stay on the Defense contractor gravy train. Once Franken offered the amendment and took the testimony he did and made mincemeat of the lawyers who tried to defend these arbitration clauses Dems had to follow through, though they might have misgivings later if their contributions dry up in this sector.
