RaleighNC:

Based on the rapidly disappearing Obama/Biden bumper stickers here in Raleigh I find this to be quite believable.

Its not just NC, his approval is in the negative in several key swing states he won. No one cares what NY or TX think, we know how they will vote. Its always about the purpole states. NC, IN, NV, FL and OH I have seen polls showing him at a negative in approval and below his election results.

John:

Strange cross-tabs, the 'fall' in Obama's support compared to 2008 comes from a fall in african-american support (73-26 in this poll compared to 95-5 in the general) combined with a somewhat more white electorate (77% in this poll compared to 72% in the exit poll in 2008). His support among white voters is about the same(36-61 in this poll compared to 35-64 in the 2008 exit poll). Also there is a near uniformity of support across the regions (-5 to -12 in this poll) compared to the huge differences in the general of -31 to +29.
