Shows how much you know about New York State and the history of this country. Only one state (Mississipi) has ever gone bankrupt during the Civil War. Oh btw, New York deficit is 3 billion. That's peanuts compared to California. And they are debating this right now...
Ugh, why are libs always so bitter, angry and vitriolic? I guess its in their blue blood! LOL!
Yes, while the absolute value of the NYS's budget deficit is less, the nature of the states demographics makes a rebound in NY much more difficult. And while both states are run by liberal legislatures (hence their troubles), NYS has the most inept state government in the country led by another empty suit.
All the millionaires are flocking out of NYC and upstate for lower tax locations. Recently Tom Galisano made headlines moving to Florida and writing an open letter to the governor. Good for him!

That doesn't prove your argument that New York is going to be the first state to go bankrupt. Vitriol? LOL It's called the truth. You don't know what you are talking about.
Cuomo is the exact same politician as Spitzer and Paterson. I have no idea what replacing Paterson with Cuomo does for you. Just another tax and spend dem who will continue to harm NY state and decimate the business climate.
I still think NY will be the first state to declare bankruptcy.
