Hopefully Pataki or Giilibrand will stay off the ballot for senate at least. Gillibrand is from a neighboring town to me and hopefully will be senator a long time.

The love affair New Yorkers have with Guilliani will wear off when Guilliani will have to get the social conservatives which do make a big part of the base in upstate NY. His 2 divorces, pro-choice positions may not excite the base enough to win. Gillibrand is from upstate and has a good record on gun rights. Guilliani or Pataki would however make this race competitive and would be used by the GOP to divert the Democrats into spending money in this race, making it harder to compete in conservative states like LA, or Iowa.

Rudy G is not going to run. But, I would love to see him run for Governor so he can suffer another embarrassment. The guy is ego-maniac.

Field Marshal:

Why would you want to be governor of NY? The state is a complete mess thanks to the dimocrats in charge. I would argue that the state is in worse fiscal shape than California and will probably go bankrupt if we see a double-dip which is likely with the crop of morons currently running congress. The last GDP report showed terrible organic growth and with the largest tax increase looming on small businesses, a double dip is likely. Not to mention if Pelosi's crazy 5.4% surcharge on top earners passes.

Field Marshall, you don't know what you are talking about. New York is not California. According to Reuters, we have a deficit of 6.8 billion. That's nothing compare to the California mess. And you make it out like Democrats have a huge majority. They don't. So, keep talking out of your butt like your boy, Stillow.
