It's not that interesting, Stillow. Gillibrand has a serious base problem. The people in and around New York city cannot forgive her for being picked by Paterson and that she owns guns. Even though she's become one of the most liberal senators out there, they just refuse to warm up to her 'cos she's not Caroline Kennedy. It really is a bizarre phenomenon. In the end, though, most of those dems will come home, and the numbers will look more normal.
I've been to NY, you need a gun..........
I think Nyers are still not forgiving Patterson for not nominating Caroline Kennedy. Whether anybody likes it or not, people just like the Kennedys. I was unhappy with Patterson myself coz of the way he handled the nomination process.
Did you see Kennedy's interviews? She didn't know anything....even the lib edia was saying she was out of her league....she looked like palin in the cbs interview.
Do you prefer Rudy Giuliani remain unemployed?
Curious...if your a sitting governor or senator and you lose your election, do you qualify for unemployment benefits?
lol, Stillow... Rudy Giuliani should retire in the bahamas to never be seen again. Paterson needs to be realistic and leave the road open for Cuomo. Cuomo needs to continue being a great servant to my state and run for governor. I too hated Gillibrand because she wasn't Caroline. So I think NYkers need to sit for a second and use their heads so they'll realize that she's very smart/liberal and will continue to be the greatest person to represent us in congress.
This mindset of "anyone but HER" has to go.
I think a major part of the problem for Gillibrand is this:
Gillibrand: 28 / 26
It's not that people are especially angry with her: it's that they just don't know who she is or what she's been doing. Compare that with Giuliani and Pataki, both of whom have big profiles in the state, and it's unsurprising that Gillibrand would be trailing.
Both Pataki and Rudy defeat Gillibrand.....isn't that interesting.
