Edmonson is the guy whose niece, I think nearly was sentenced to die. It was on a crime show I saw, where she was a juvenile and ran away with this older guy and they robbed and killed several people at convenience stores. The princess pretty much got a light sentence because her father had political power.

I wonder what happened to the former congressman JC Watts? I really liked that guy. He was fairly conservative, but actually had ideas that made sense and was great with people. I rarely heard critism from the African American community for being a conservative, the way they attack Clarence Thomas or Michael Steele. I wish he would run for governor.

Farleft: I wish Watts would have run too but he declined. He's still pretty young though so perhaps he'll seek a Senate seat once Coburn calls it quits.

I don't think Coburn will quit any time soon. He probably wants to stay in the senate as long as Strom Thurmond. I'll be in my 60's and he'll still be senator probably.

Coburn signed onto a two-term limit pledge. He seems to be a someone to hold his word so I have no doubt he will step out after his term expires.
