Awesome.. score one for Inhofe and the anti-global warming crusade! Glen Beck must be ecstatic.

This is exactly the same margin as George Bush got last time around. (65%)
How hard do they look for Democrats to poll? Does anyone in OK ever change their minds?
How bad does the economy have to get before someone switches parties?

Darn, I was hoping that the McCain campaign collapse would be big enough to get some movement in hard red states.

If Jesus himself came down and asked the OKies to vote for Obama....they'd turn Jewish!

The "hard red" states are the reason a lot of these polls still look close. In terms of popuar percentages, it balances out all the big states where Obama is leading with smaller middle-america red states where the Republican Party still dominates.

Trosen:
I agree. It's amazing how many red states are 20%+ for McCain: OK, ID, NE, UT, WY, TN, AL, AK = 44 EV.
While substantially fewer states are that way for Obama: HI, DC, and VT = 10 EV.
I know that calculating by EV isn't very accurate but the discrepancy is HUGE nonetheless.

hey PB,
You're wrong about one of your red states. NE allocates 3 of its 5 EV by congressional district, and NE1 & NE2 are both pretty close. It's possible that NE could go for McCain by 10-20% and still give Obama 1 or 2 EV...

pfffttt! mark my words OK is going blue! this poll doesn't seem to take into consideration the vast Cuban / African American / Eskimo and Peruvian demos.

I don't suppose anyone is still reading posts on this site, but I just have to say that Trosen's comment is absurd. If you look at states that are going for Obama by 15% or more which includes NY, CA, MA, Ill and a couple of smaller staes, the EV count is around 55 or 60. Add that to HI,VT and DC. A 15% victory is a landslide in anyone's book.

I'm an Oklahoman and an Obama supporter. I guess this explains why my Obama yard signs keep getting stolen.
