So, Mark Mellman wants to eliminate the filibuster? According to this article from 2005 (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/17/magazine/17DEMOCRATS.html?pagewanted=2) Mellman was on a team that led the fight to preserve the filibuster. He called trying to bypass it unamerican and an abuse of power.
