Think they could have released this poll a week ago?

A DEM poller, but still better for Merkley than the tie that Rasmussen had those two in last week.

Obama's lead is no surprise, but Merkley is ahead of Smith in the Senate race. Good going.

Indiana4Obama,
Oregon is a mail-in state. I think they had to mail these poll results to Eric.
Anyway, it's good to see the trend in favor of Merkley. Most of the recent polls have a margin in that range, favoring Merkley. Smith annoys me every time I've watched him in the senate or in a debate. He tries so hard to be smooth and moderate. We need to get rid of those red senators in blue states. Find a storage shed somewhere and round them up.
Strange high percentage of undecideds in that senate race. Theoretically that should favor the challenger. But the Rasmussen poll had it tied 47-47 with low number of undecideds.

See ya Gordon. 60 never seemed so close.

Just put in my vote for Obama and Merkley.

Looks like a large number of undecideds in Senate race???

Dems will ride the coattails all over the state. If Obama wins with those kinds of numbers, it's hard to believe the Dems will lose the Senate race. I don't know how to explain the polls, but I think Merkley will take this soundly.

Just cast my vote for Obama in Oregon.
So did my elderly mother, my sister, my brother, and my neice.
Feels good.

P.S.
...and Merkley.
Vote by mail is awesome btw.

I checked with the PO today and was told that some Oregon ballots weigh just under an ounce and some weigh just over. So some can take a regular 1st class stamp and some need more postage. Pretty dumb.
They also told me that some ballots might be returned to the senders before the election, but wouldn't be returned if it got too late to fix them.
There are a lot of undecideds for the senate race. Merkley is a pretty weak candidate and Smith's a weak senator.
The biggest reason to vote for Merkley is to get closer to 60 votes in the senate. Monster Obama turnout should do it.
