POLL: AP-Ipsos 08 Primary
Additional results from a recent AP-Ipsos national survey of 1,004 adults (conducted 7/9 through 7/11) finds:
- Among Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton leads Sen. Barack Obama (36% to 20%) in a national primary; former V.P. Al Gore trails at 15%, former Sen. John Edwards at 11%.
- Among Republicans, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani edges out former Sen. Fred Thompson (21% to 19%) in a national primary; Sen. John McCain runs at 15%, former Gov. Mitt Romney at 11%.

Although magnitudes differ between todays Zobgy, Gallup and AP-Ipsos poll numbers, relative standings are the same. Clinton continues to run ahead of Obama and Edwards. Giuliani is running ahead of Thompson, McCain and Romney. In terms of absolutes however, Giuliani did lose 6 points and McCain 4 points since the June AP-Ipsos.
