And 45% don't care, don't know?
Apathetic democratic delegates. Also, surprising that only 28% want Hillary. She had more than 28%, no?

I'd like to see Brian Schweitzer, who became really appealing to me after watching him on youtube.

4% Edwards?? Just goes to show that every poll includes a certain percentage who didn't understand the question.

The sample under represents Clinton delegates and doesn't make a conclusion about 41% of them.

Idiotic poll. Once Obama actually announces his VP pick, obviously the overwhelming majority of delegates (I'd guess 80-90%) will vote for him/her at the convention.
@voteforamerica: the problem with your claim is that we don't actually know how many "Clinton delegates" are left! We know how many she won in the primaries; but she will almost certainly have less than that at the convention. (E.g., she herself is voting for Obama, and presumably for his preferred VP pick...)

Is anybody surprised to know that Hillary's delegates want her to be VP?
According to CBS:
"Support for Clinton as the first choice for the vice-presidential nomination is not universal. It is mostly found among delegates who were PLEDGED TO HER when selected. SIXTY-ONE PERCENT of delegates PLEDGED to Clinton name her as their choice for vice presidential candidate."
"Obama’s pledged delegates are less enthusiastic about the choice of Clinton as the vice presidential nominee. Eight percent of them choose Richardson, seven percent choose Biden, and another six percent choose John Edwards. Just percent name Clinton, and as just as many suggested Sebelius, Webb or Clark."

you know , there are @900 delegates.
A random sample is not valid for this sized group.
they should have simple polled every single one delegate.

Not surprising that the pro-Clinton vote is near equal to the non-Clinton cumulative vote. Just like the Obama-Clinton split in the Dem party. Those who said Clinton will take more work winning over.

This poll will just serve as a good reminder on November 5th that Obama could have won the election if he'd selected Clinton as his running mate. Instead, he'll show his overconfidence and arrogance and select someone lackluster like Biden, allowing McCain to select someone exciting and go on and win the election. Just watch.

"Once Obama actually announces his VP pick, obviously the overwhelming majority of delegates (I'd guess 80-90%) will vote for him/her at the convention."
In other words, once we take away all the choices, we'll find nearly everyone "agrees."
@ Patrick
Take it down to brass tacks - Obama won't pick Clinton because he is scared of her. He knows he can't control her because the very notion is absurd. She'd overshadow him. And the affluent middle-aged white men in the media (Jack Welch's boys) - would fall right back into sexist mode, talking about "who's really in charge" and "has she unmanned him." She scares the hell out of those guys.
No, I expect Obama will pick someone who represents the opposite of one of his "core" principles - whether its voting for Iraq, not being pro-choice, etc. - a fair number of delegates will be ticked off, and they'll be told to get in line or get out.
