A new CBS News/New York Times national survey (CBS story, Dem results, Rep results; Times story, results) of likely primary voters (conducted 1/9 through 1/12) finds:
- 438 Likely Democratic Primary Voters (± 5)
42 Clinton
27 Obama
11 Edwards
4 Kucinich
0 Gravel
14 Undecided/Don't Know
- 270 Likely Republican Primary Voters (± 6)
33 McCain
18 Huckabee
10 Giuliani
8 Romney
8 Thompson
5 Paul
1 Hunter
2 Someone else / None
15 Undecided/Don't Know

How can ABC and CBS be this different? ABC shows big swing in the Clinton-Obama race since December; this poll shows essentially no change. As to Republicans, looks like the story was all McCain.
