14% more Democrats than Republicans in this poll....Guess there really has been a dramatic swing?

Don't mix "registered party" with "party ID". Registered party is a factual question while party ID is much more fluid and may differ according to the poll. There are still a lot of registered southern Democrats that vote Republican for all US Government positions, but still support Democrats in-state.
