POLL: OpinionWorks Maryland Survey

A new OpinionWorks statewide survey of likely primary voters in Maryland (conducted 8/24 through 8/26; released 9/18) finds:

  • Among 335 Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton leads Sen. Barack Obama (32% to 18%) in a statewide primary; former Sen. John Edwards trails at 10%.
  • Among 177 Republicans, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani (at 32%) leads Sen. John McCain (13%) and former Sen. Fred Thompson (12%), former Gov. Mitt Romney trails at 8%.
  • All other candidates receive less than five percent each.
