POLL: PPP/SaveTheVoters Michigan and Florida
An organization named SaveTheVoters.org today released results of two surveys it commissioned in Florida and Michigan that were fielded by Public Policy Polling (PPP). The survey was fielded April 18-20 among 1,020 "Democratic voters" divided roughly evenly between the two states. Here are links to the release, Michigan results, Florida results, selected crosstabs.
SaveTheVoters bills itself as "non-partisan, non-profit movement," but its co-founder and president, Achal Achrol, donated $250 to Hillary Clinton's campaign in February.

Save the voters!
Every day baby voters are being clubbed to death by mercenary hunters for their valuable pelts. Their little tusks are ground up and sold as an aphrodisiac.
@ Uri: Maybe I didn't get you (unfortunately my English is far from perfect), but it seems to me, that your question is part of the survey: "If a new primary were held today, how would you vote?" (question 13).
The Florida Survey has only 3% of the sample that is 18-29 and 64% that is over 65%. Demographers would point out that this would be a society moving quickly toward extinction ;-)

There's still lots of fishy things about this survey. For example, why would people be asked to indicate if they live in Michigan or Florida? If this is a phone-based automated survey, can't that be figured out from the area code?
@yegnev: That's a pretty fair assessment given that it's from MyDD, but the numbers at DemConWatch (the author's source) have changed. Clinton now needs 229 out of 304, passing the 75% mark. Also, I believe that several officials including Speaker Pelosi have vowed to vote for the pledged delegate leader, which the author acknowledges will be Obama. That leaves something like 229 out of 298.
So, in light of this, why is she still in the race making bogus arguments every day?? She is wasting Dems' money - money that could help other dems capture congressional seats.
Blumenthal, why do you tell us that savethevoters' co-founder donated $250 to Hillary, but you never tell us that Newsmax, which partners up with Zogby, is a discredited wingnut rag, or that Gallup's CEO once donated $1000 to Bush? Will you tell us how much money each pollster "co-founder" has donated to what candidate?
The most interesting thing in the poll (of Michigan voters) is that Hillary is going against the will of the voters -- by 56%-44% they do NOT believe that the delegates should be apportioned based on the primary vote.
Florida voters do believe the delegates should be apportioned based on the primary results, but there is something dubious about that sample: those polled claimed by a better than 2-1 ration that they'd voted for Clinton over Obama (I'm ignoring the other options for the moment), but the election results were 1.5 to 1 -- outside the poll's MoE. Of those voting, 59% claim to have voted for Clinton, but she got just under 50%. Meanwhile, 27% of those voting claimed to have voted for Obama, but he actually got 33%. kingsbridge--because "savethevoters" is not a polling firm. it's a private nonprofit that hired a polling firm, and "why" is germane to the discussion.
I'm a Hillary supporter and I don't see a point to these polls without the question:
"If the primaries were today and both candidates were on the ballot, what would you vote?"
