POLL: Public Policy Polling (D) NC Primary


A new Public Policy Polling (D) automated survey of of 649 likely Republican primary voters and 500 likely Democratic primary voters in North Carolina (conducted 4/2) finds:

  • Among Republicans asked to choose between three candidates, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani (at 30%) leads Sen. John McCain (19%) and former Gov. Mitt Romney (14%) in a statewide primary; 25% would choose "a different candidate."
  • Among Democrats asked to choose between three candidates, former Sen. John Edwards (at 39%) leads Sen. Hillary Clinton (25%) and Sen. Barack Obama (20%) in a statewide primary; 8% would choose "a different candidate."
