POLL: Rasmussen Colorado General Election Match-ups

A new Rasmussen Reports automated survey of 500 likely voters in Colorado (conducted 11/28) finds:

  • Former Rep. Bob Schaffer narrowly leads Rep. Mark Udall (42% to 41%) in a statewide general election match-up for U.S. Senate.
  • General Election Match-ups for President:

    Giuliani 44%, Clinton 40%
    McCain 44%, Clinton 40%
    Huckabee 42%, Clinton 41%
    Clinton 43%, Romney 40%

Those results seem consistently slanted towards the Republicans - somewhat moreso than I would have expected. I'm curious about their "likely voter" screen.

Colorado has been a Republican state, that some argue may be a battleground state in 2007. With the senate election at 1 point, and the GE match-ups between 1 and 4 points, this poll supports that thinking.

This is actually a lot closer than previous polls. With the Democrats having their big party here and a close Senate Race, this will truly be a toss-up.
