I note that Bob Barr gets 1% here, rather than 6. Could this be because he is introduced as "Libertarian Bob Barr" rather than former Georgia congressman Bob Barr?
Interesting result on the Free Trade question: 43% Good and 26% Bad. Makes sense because Georgia depends on foreign trade.... similar to the Pacific Coast states.
Regarding Bob Barr... it may be that the "Libertarian" platform is not well known or that aspects of it are found to be in conflict with their values. But be assured that most know who Bob Barr is... especially after the Clinton impeachment.
Didn't the Obama campaign state that Georgia would be in play?
Same song, different lyrics Tybo.
The Obama campaign still does:
I direct attention to the following article: "Can Obama win any former confederate states?"
"I'll give you one specific example," Obama said. "Mississippi is 40 percent African American, but it votes 25 percent African American. If we just got the African Americans in Mississippi to vote their percentage, Mississippi is suddenly a Democratic state. And Georgia may be a Democratic state. Even South Carolina starts being in play. And I guarantee you African American turnout, if I'm the nominee, goes up 30 percent around the country, minimum."

Don't feed the trolls guys. Arguing with logic doesn't work against those who make idiotic statements.
Anyhoo, we can let the naysayers be surprised when georgia, mississippi, north and south carolina, virginia and florida all turn blue. turnout will be like payback this year........and you know what they say about payback.
Regarding the poll, of note should be the approval rating of the doofus himself - 54%! That's how many people said they think he is doing either a fair, good, or excellent job. Yikes. Now, extrapolate other cross-tabs from there. Seems like they got a rather ignorant sample bunch this time around.
Like I said.....wait for the turnout, it is going to be severe, and wait for Barr to make more of a run........
Bush has a 40% approval and 59% disapproval on his job rating, which is not so different from the nation as a whole.
In calling people "ignorant" do you advocate "literacy" tests to be able to vote?
Please be specific on what you consider to be "idiotic statements" made here by other posters and then specifically refute if you do not agree. Note that using a term like "idiotic" is considered to be objectionable and unwarranted according to the comment policy.
Undecided - I'm not sure where you are getting your numbers, but you might want to read the poll again-
Bush's rating as-
20% Excellent
20% Good
14% Fair
45% Poor
2% Not sure
No, I call people who have no idea what is going on and believe everything that people tell them, ignorant. Perhaps I should call them intellectually stunted as ignorance has an implication of having the ability to understand logic/reality but just not doing so. The group who still thinks W is doing "a heckuva a job" for example.
If you need a definition of idiotic, well then, you may want to find the nearest dictionary. I refuse to feed the trolls here, therein the ambiguous statement. By the way, vaguely saying something is idiotic is not against the comment policy - perhaps you should read that again as well.
"Same song, different lyrics Tybo."
yeah, obama is wrong again
"Fair" is typically not considered as a positive attribute and is not included in the positive approval category. It is either neutral or negative, but definitely not positive.
Rasmussen describes these numbers as follows "Forty-one percent (41%) of Alabama voters say that President Bush is doing a good or excellent job."
The latest national Rasmussen poll for Presidential job approval rating is as follows: "32% approved"
Therefore, one should compare Georgia 41% to national 32% regarding a positive job performance.
P.S. Nothing vague about your statement above in referring to "those who make idiotic statements." It is definitely implied by your words that you are referring to others who have already posted comments.

This seems more like it. The last poll which had the state within 1 seemed a little wonky. This goes along with what the two polls before that said.
