You've got to wonder about the polling models for Louisiana. This is the first big test post-Katrina. But with a gap like that Landrieu looks safe.
Ironically, Kennedy last year was a Democrat and apparently was a Kerry supporter in 2004.
Landrieu really took charge. She strongly supports lifting the ban on offshore oil drilling (as do 75% LA residents). She also went after Kennedy for his party switching. She gained Democratic voters, Kennedy lost GOP voters. And she very recently had her name removed from a fundraiser announcement for presidential candidate Barack Obama. Smart, smart lady in knowing how to take her very "vulnerable" situation and make it into a solid lead. (She was listed as "most vulnerable" Democratic Senator for re-election.)
P.S. Bobby Jindahl seems to have improved his standing as the new Governor.

Big number for Landrieu. She is quite popular in Louisiana, a state which has moved more GOP as a whole.
