Wisconsin is definitely in play in Nov. It would be handy to track the number of "in play", "longshot", "hotly contested", "strong for obama", "strong for mccain" states on a weekly basis moving forward. Averaging all recently polling for that state. This would let us see trend lines of which candidate is gaining momentum or losing it. Even more interesting would be to see the electoral votes of each of those categories tracked weekly. Could break it down a bit more into weak obama, mild obala, strong obama, tie, weak mccain, mild mccain, strong mccain.

I think a lot of peopel would be surprised in how well Obama matches up when compared this way. Especially considering Obama is not yet the nominee and mccain is.

This poll is bad news for Obama, the futured Dem. nominee. He's not winning a state where even Kerry beat Bush. Obama needs to turn blue states and swing states red in order to win; it doesn't look like his prospects are good at all.

By that logic, Obama will lose New Hampshire, since polls overestimated his numbers here.

The bottom line is that PRESIDENTIAL elections are much easier to predict than primaries, historically, and Rasmussen is particularly great at accurately predicting state presidential outcomes. Don't be mad because the Messiah looks vulnerable.
