if someone could dissect why 15% of blacks in kentucky are not in the tank for obama i'd like to hear it and why approx. 30% of the dems ar jumping to mccain.

Maybe it is a reverse-Bradley effect? Some blacks don't want to seem like they are only voting by race, so they say they are supporting McCain?

Also, 30% of dems may represent a segment of Hillary supporters who won't vote for Obama, though that sounds kind of high. I hate to say it, but it may just be that those people are racist and won't vote for a black man even if he is a democrat. There is also the possibility that those Democrats are more center-oriented and think he is too far left for them. It must be one of those things!

Maybe you should watch this video if you have questions why 30% of Dems in KY support mccain or why he is close to obama in the national polls.

That video is nutty, you can go into black neighborhoods too who are anti-white racists. Racism exists on both sides. But if blacks only vote for Obama because he is black, then that in itself is racist. If all whites voted for only a whie person, then we'd have no black politicans. But don't think some hick town somewhere represents the majority, nor would some black neighborhood represent black racism towards whites.

McCain is so close because the country is just not as far left as some tthink. Many many Democrats are conservatives, also known as Reagan Democrats and many of them are still around. The GOP depends on cross party votes to win, because the simple math is Dems outnumber the GOP. But just as there are liberal republicans, there are a lot of conservative democrats turned off by Obama's to far left agenda in their minds.

yup. if blacks vote for a black man by a simple majority then that's as racist as a jew only voting for a jew. (ask jews if they'd switch their vote for mccain if lieberman were mccain's vp)

obama is in your face with deprecating mockery whenever anything ticks against him which is why he is dragging up "oh, and btw:i'm black!!!"

were we to switch this rejoinder around and plug it in hillary's mouth, "They're trying to scare you, that i get hysterical every 30 days, and BTW: i'm a woman" she would never have lived a day in the limelight. as it was when she dropped a tear in new hampshire the press had an orgy.

so why can obama play the bias card? answer: he cant. it's a threat to those who simply do not like his brain and personality, his theocracy and his radical upbringing by insinuating that "if you dont vote for me you're a racist" which is what the bloggers routinely do. yawn.

and this is the same insinuating swipe of the above posts.

but on a different topic: i've noticed that pollster.com runs an ad slyly capitalizing on obama's brain power by mentioning the fact that mccain was a bum student - like the worst of the 800 in his graduating class. the world knows this and he hardly hides it.

so i am now asking all you obama addicts, to find me his occidental and columbia university transcripts. i caution you, it will be hard, because he is hiding something BIG.

Not all blacks are in love with Obama because he is black. Many vote because of the issues, which often include social values. I have seen interviews with blacks stating that they are NOT supporting Obama because he is pro-choice.

By the way, According to U.S. census quick facts for 2006...the black population in Kentucky is relatively small (7.5% compared to national 12.8%). This poll shows 9% voters (18+) of all voters. 54 black voters can show more difference in polling for any candidate or issue because of small sample and the innate differences between random samples. There does not appear to be another Research 2000 poll for Kentucky to which one can compare this demographic.

@bookstop

I was hoping that you learned your lesson before. It is YOU that is a racist, and sadly you don't even understand what racism is.
