POLL: Research 2000 Kentucky Gubernatorial
A new Research 2000 statewide survey of 600 likely voters in Kentucky (conducted 9/10 through 9/13 for Lexington Herald-Leader and Action News 36) finds:
- Democrat Steve Beshear leads incumbent Republican Gov. Ernie Fletcher (56% to 39%) in gubernatorial general election match-up.
- 37% approve of the job Fletcher is doing as governor, 59% disapprove.
- 37% would "definitely" or "probably" vote to reelect Fletcher; 57% would "definitely" or "probably" vote to replace him.
