POLL: Strategic Vision (R) New Jersey Primary
A new Strategic Vision (R) statewide survey of 800 registered voters in New Jersey (conducted 7/13 through 7/15) finds:
- 18% approve of President Bush's overall job performance; 71% disapprove.
- Among Democrats, Sen. Hillary Clinton leads Sen. Barack Obama (46% to 20%) in a statewide primary; former Sen. John Edwards trails at 10%, Gov. Bill Richardson at 7%.
- Among Republicans, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani leads former Sen. Fred Thompson (48% to 15%) in a statewide primary; Sen. John McCain trails at 10%, former Gov. Mitt Romney at 5%.

Compared to May SV-R, Clinton retains 20+ point lead over Obama. McCain has dropped to 3rd, now behind Thompson.
