POLL: SurveyUSA Massachusetts '08 Match-ups

A new SurveyUSA automated survey of 540 registered voters in Massachusetts (conducted 11/9 through 11/11) finds:
- Presidential Match-ups:
Clinton 50%, McCain 45%
Clinton 54%, Giuliani 40%
Clinton 59%, Romney 35%
Clinton 61%, Huckabee 31%
McCain 47%, Obama 44%
Obama 46%, Giuliani 44%
Obama 54%, Romney 37%
Obama 57%, Huckabee 27%

It seems odd to me that after viewing all of these state-by-state polls, that the McCain campaign is doing so poorly.
On paper, at least, he appears to be the best possible challenger to Clinton or Obama in a number of states, yet the public perception is that he is a dying candidate.

Well, yeah, if I saw a poll that showed Hillary beating Romney in Alabama, I'd just figure the poll wasn't measuring anything real. Same here.

As I posted elsewhere, McCain does seem to do well on GE matchups, compared to his primary polling data. One conclusion must be that McCain does well with people who do not see them themselves heavily aligned with the primary process, i.e. independents.
