7/11-13/08; 641 RV, 3.9%
Coleman (R-i) 52, Franken (D) 39
Norm Coleman is a Benedict Arnold Republican and is hated passionately by Democratic loyalists in MN. They will all turn out to vote against him in November.
Also, "Moscow on the Mississippi" will compare to CA in a lopsided victory for Obama - and many 'Publicans simply will not show up. I.e., Franken is still very much in this race.
A consideration of Pawlenty for VP - and picking St. Paul as the convention site - is a waste. Putting national Republican resources into MN is a weird hangover from the days when anyone listened to Dick Cheney.
Yes, some very liberal Republicans do get elected in MN, but wrestlers and comedians also do reasonably well.

538 has this race as 78% likely GOP. This poll should increase that probability.
