Obama 51, McCain 44... McCain 46, Clinton 45
Gov: Gregoire 48, Rossi 47
Obama 52, Clinton 42
The races here in Washington look like the classic Dem v. Rep, Puget Sound v. Eastside contests. Gregoire carries both the advantages and disadvantages of incumbency. The latter are somewhat greater than usual given the Dems long hold on the Governor's chair and general dissatisfaction with numerous aspects of state government.
My guess is that the "registered voter" frame in the survey favors the Republicans. A "likely voter" frame, I suspect, would better reflect the Obamamania here on the west side of the Cascades.
All in all, I think Obama's coattails will be enough to give Gregoire a second term, but not by much.

Does Boeing still have a oresence in Washington? Must certainly be many Boeing retirees pulling pensions still there. Could McCain's association with the decision to offer the Air-Refueling Contracts to a French firm have an impact in targetted advertising in Washington. Rossi could be hit with this as well if he tries to associate himself with McCain too closely.
