While I am less inclined to make a big fuss about this new Gallup poll, I wonder what does Mark Penn think about this stunning turnaround. At the height of Wright-gate, Penn rushed to issue a memo that points to a big swing toward Hillary.Obama after his brilliant speech on race has an 11 points shift his way, what does the incompetent Mark Penn think now?
'Where's the bounce" memo didn't teach him any lessons but should I expect him to learn from his mistake? Hell no. An idiot doesn't learn from the past.
Not a big fan of Gallup or these comparisons between Obama and Clinton. Hasn't 85% of the populace voted already? What good does it do to re-poll people who have already voted? Would like to see Gallup daily State polls of PA, NC, IN, WV, MT, etc.
However, I do think there is some info we can gather from these polls: A)The Wright Controversy has stablized B)Hillary's strategy is helping McCain, and C)The Bosnia flap maybe having some affect on the poll numbers.
Yes, I too would like to see more penn polls. the shift today is from hillary's bosnia lie. It got a lot of play.
may even doom her.
First, I'll start by saying I don't know where I will vote.
The Bosnia story has unfortunately shown that Hillary will say anything to boost her qualifications. She even exaggerated a story of her daughters whereabouts on 9/11. In an effort to "connect" with New Yorkers in her bid for Senate, Hillary claimed she was a worried mom because her daughter had to duck into a downtown NY City coffee shop when the planes hit. 3 months later, Chelsea did an interview and said she was in fact "HOME" when a friend called and told her to turn on the tv. Don't tell me Hillary forgot that too.
FYI, I was supporting Obama, before Wright, then I started leaning towards Clinton.
I refuse to vote for McCain.
Now I am LOST.
I guess very little Pastor Impact. I actually think Pastor Controversy will help Obama in the long run. Many voters falsely believed that Osama was a Muslim. That is over now. Faux noise and Hillary camp can use Obama's middle name until they are blue in the face. It will no longer have an impact.
Also, the longer this Pastor controversy continues now, the better. The media and voters will be bored with the story...Pastor Fatigue. This will be an old story by Fall.
I strongly believe that this Pastor story was planned by Hillary camp as their kitchen sink to be released one week before Pennsylvania or North Carolina. Unfortunately for her, someone else beat her to it. Maybe Faux, maybe Obama's camp????? If Obama did it himself, that was a smart move.
