POLL: WSJ/NBC News National Survey


A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey (WSJ story, results; NBC story, results) finds:

  • 57% of Americans want to see Congress "take the lead role in setting policy for the country."
  • 52% oppose "Congress cutting funding for the Iraq war as a way to ensure that President Bush does not have sufficient funds to send troops to Iraq."
  • 65% think the U.S. will eventually "have to withdraw and leave Iraq without a stable democratic government."
