POLL: Zogby Bush Approval

A new Zogby telephone survey of 1,012 likely voters nationwide (conducted 7/12 through 7/14) finds that 34% of Americans approve of the job George Bush is doing as president; 66% disapprove.

Andrew:

Now I see why Zogby has been discredited as a pollster. In the link provided here, Zogby tries to compare the "Democratic congress" to the "Republican congress" in the 90's, implying that the "Republican congress" was somehow more popular. This is misleading, Mr. Zogby. There is no such thing as a one party congress. Congress is made-up of two parties. You would argue that Democrats have set the agenda. True. But Republicans block the agenda. Poll after poll after poll we have seen that Democrats in congress are seen more favorably than Republicans in congress. Why didn't you separate approval into two categories (Democrats vs. Republicans)?

John Zogby has no clue.
