POLL: Zogby Iowa Primary

A new Zogby telephone survey of likely caucus-goers in Iowa (conducted 5/14 through 5/15) finds:

  • Among 478 Republicans, former Gov. Mitt Romney (at 19%) edges out Sen. John McCain and former Mayor Rudy Giuliani (both at 18%) in a statewide caucus; former Sen. Fred Thompson trails at 9%.

  • Among 511 Democrats, former Sen. John Edwards (at 26%) edges out Sen. Hillary Clinton (24%) and Sen. Barack Obama (22%) in a statewide caucus.

cal:

I went to the Zogby site, and Ron Paul's name was not even listed, although aparently Rice is still a candidate.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?
How long is the Ron Paul blackout going to be in place?

Ron Paul sends fear into the Neo Cons and their corporate partners, not to mention the international bankers of the private institution called The Federal Reserve (this is not a federal organization, it is private).

This is why corporate controlled media will not give Ron Paul honest coverage.

I echo the cal's Ron Paul lament, and find that refusal to notice very spooky and scary. Can they flat out choose for us, or WHAT? Will SOMEONE explain??

Brian:

what if all 22% "unsure" were unsure because the candidate they wanted wasn't listed? Granted that is HIGHLY unlikely....but so is any real change in 08.

To the pollsters -- I want to know the information your methodology has concluded on Ron Paul. Where are the Polls or surveys to participate in on the site??

I would concider voting for Ron Paul. Esp. since it is becoming obvious that Reps don't want him. Poll him. I dare you.

no dem in their right mind would vote for paul. he's got a solid pro-life, anti stem cell research, anti-environment, anti-gun control record. sounds like a real winner of the hearts and minds of dems. not to mention he proudly voted to impeach clinton.

anyone claiming to be a dem voting for ron paul is full of it.

First off: Chantal. Ron Paul is NOT against gun restrictions or stem cells as his mandate to the nation, he's against regulating it at the Federal Level. If you'd actually take the time to listen to his ideology, you'd understand that he believes the States should decide a lot of these things on their own - and you know what? That's what this (presently) little known document called the Constitution proclaims! Your democrats that want to vote for Dr. Paul understand this.

Now to the pollsers. I have to agree that there is a media blockout. As a student of media in college, I can say first hand that the big media doesn't really care about the real news - and yes they are scared of someone like Ron Paul - and yes they are excluding him!

Ron Paul has my vote for sure - and I'm a liberal! Notcie how "liberal" and "liberty" are close in spelling and pronounciation? Hmmmm.....

And if he doesn't get the republican nomination, I'm going to do what almost all other Ron Paul supporters will do: Just write his name in on the ballot. If everyone who supports Dr. Paul does this, then we'll see just how many supporters he has. Wouldn't it be great if he won that way! And he could. His true support is HUGE and growing by the day.

WE DON'T NEED BIG MEDIA DECIDING FOR US WHO THE PRESIDENT WILL BE. THAT'S OUR JOB!

WE THE PEOPLE! NOT WE THE FOX, CNN, NBC, CBS, or ABC!

Restore the Republic - Ron Paul 2008!

Ron Paul has my vote. I was planning on voting for the democrats this election, but the message of Dr. Paul far exceeds any candidate of either party. The revolution will happen whether big media gives him attention or not.

I'm a US Soldier who voted for Bush twice. I've become so disillusioned with the GOP that I was planning on voting for what ever democrat happened to be running against my rediculously out of touch party. I ran into Dr. Pauls web campaign and I've fell in love with this guys message. This is the person we've been waiting for. He's a true man of the poeple, the only politician that has not been corrupted that I know of. If Ron Paul doesn't win the nomination I will be writing in his name on voting day. Please involve his name your polls, you are silencing a huge portion of the country by not doing so.

Boy, you people are paranoid. I've seen him listed plenty of places, such as http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/iowa-primary.html , which lists his popularity from many sources. I don't know why he's not list on the Zogby poll page, but this paranoid crap is quite repulsive.
