I say give him the boot...in these times we do not need people of weak character serving as our leaders....I say kick out all the cheaters in Congress too............of course if we did that we'd have no members left!

I live in Greenville, SC. Everyone's jaws are on the floor over this astonishing week. It's not the affair; it's skipping out on government duties and lying about your location. I think those are the main motivations behind the call to kick him out.

It's very wrong to preach family values & continue to screw women you're not in nuptial relationship with. I'm a Christian and always pray to God to give me the strength to overcome some of these sins. However, I don't pontificate or preach hollier than thou doctrine. I hate adultery, fornication, lasciviousness, thievery, cheating, lying, killings, racism, nativism, abortion, capital punishment, divorce{Except in cases of adultery or where the other party is not a believer who calls for it}, etc. Notwithstanding, I do not judge others. I believe all humans should love one another & pursue peace.
Although I hate the above sins, I don't think people should resign just for falling to them. I believe that we should hold our leaders to higher standards in terms of their ability to govern our affairs. Issues relating to personal lives, in cases where thry do not affect their ability to perform whatever duties & function given under federal & state constitutions, should be left out.
I'm one person that didn't like what NY Gov Spitzer did but didn't think he should have resigned. He was a very good governor & the NY Repubs (the hollier than thou crowd) forced him to resign.

There are not enough repubs in NY to force anyone to do anything..........
And public officials must be held to account for these types of actions. It goes to there character....if they cannot keep a promise to the person they are supposed to care most about, then they cannot keep there promises to the people they represent. Character matters in a leader. Sanford shoud resign, Spitzer was right to reisgn....Edwards, Vitter, etc, etc...all the rest shuld be held to account.
I for one am tire dof being lied to by politicans.
