Sign In Problem and New Polls

Apologies to all who have tried to leave comments today. Unfortunately, we are experiencing some sort of server glitch that is blocking both your ability to log-in to leave a comment and Eric's ability to post blog entries from our DC headquarters. We're working on the problem and hope to have it repaired soon.
We are able to update our tables and charts, which should reflect the new polls all out today:
- New Mexico-SurveyUSA: Obama 49, McCain 46
- Indiana-SurveyUSA: Obama 48, McCain 47
- Indiana Governor-SurveyUSA: Daniels/Skillman (R) 50, Long Thompson/Oxley (D) 45
- Colorado Senate (sponsored by DSCC): Udall (D) 46, Schaffer (R) 37

Wow, check out Indiana. I saw some old polls that showed they were close, but I didn't think they would hold up. Geeze, Obama possibly leading in Indiana but it's very close in Pennsylvania? I wonder how that works.

PA poll that shows Obama up 4% is rasmussen and take that with a grain of salt. Quinn. is the best pollster for NY, FL, PA and OH so stick to them for polling those swing states.
If McCain loses IN (2004 20%+ for Bush) then he cannot win the election.
New LA Times national poll has Obama +12 and +15 (if Barr and Nader included).
Neewsweek poll from last week that had Obama +15% now looks vindicated.

Mich PPP poll still not up on this site. BIIIIIGGGG Obama lead. Sure it will be up tomorrow.

Kudos to Obama. The polls vary from 3 (Gallup) to double digits in others. Its clear that he's locked up about 46-49% of the vote. The undecideds are the battleground. If the double digit lead was 55+, then it would be a lock for Obama. Obama not consistently passing the 50% mark is McCain's only hope. If Obama pushes further ahead in the close polls in some of the old and new battleground states, then McCain is toast. The New Mexico poll is interesting because it shows VP choice matters this year.
