I still don't know what kbh was thinking. Perry is to popular in TX.....I assume its cus she wants to run for president in 2016 perhaps and being governor of the 2nd largest state would certianly help, but to take on a popular conservative governor in a conservative state like TX......just not a smart move by her.

Oh...and white has no hcance no matter who the R is.

I see a silver lining with both repubs at sub 50. Perry keeps pandering to the conservative base, which leaves any democrat lake White a good shot of getting the moderate republican votes, if there are any in TX.

Hutchinson would be in her mid to late 70's by 2016, years older than McCain is now. I don't see the 2016 run as a legitimate option for her.

White is only down nine points to a very popular Republican governor in a Republican year.

That doesn't seem all that bad.

How is Perry "very popular"? His approval rating in Texas is the same as Obama's nationally.

Don't you get it William. The Red Tide! And Perry is surfs up. Ignore the polls, the supposed enthusiasm for the Republican Party is apparently here!!!

I tend to be a progressive on many issues, yet I do seriously believe that more has to be done to prevent the drug wars near our border. I have been far more concerned about places closer to the US, than I am about countries in the middle east at are 8 or 9,000 miles away.
